まず初めに、相手の気持ちを想い描いてください。なぜ、電話をかけてきたのでしょうか？
そう、困っているからです。
道が分からず誰かに助けてほしいから電話をかけてきたのです。
その気持ちを理解して対応をお願いします。
しかし対応を間違えればクレームにつながりますので注意が必要です。
気持ちを理解していないと相手を知らない間に怒らせてしまっているかもしれません。
「今、どちらにいらっしゃいますか？」
「どちらに行きますか？」
「どちらから来ましたか？」
道案内でまず大事なのは、相手が今どこにいて、これからどこへ向かおうとしているかを確認することです。
今いる場所が曖昧だと、相手とも話が通じ合いません。
現在地の確認をするには、見える建物や住所、通りの名前を聞くと良いです。
道案内の例文
「ご不便をおかけして申し訳ございません。今、道に迷われているんですね。では、今、あなたはどちらにいらっしゃいますか？目印になる建物や、通りの名前を教えて頂けますか？」
市役所の前にいるとします。
「私わたくしどもの会社は、市役所からですと、北方向に約2Km、バイクで2分ぐらいのところにあります」と全体像を示します。
次に出発地点からの説明は、丁寧に詳しく説明してください。
「○○通りを北にまっすぐ2Km走りますので、右側に市役所が見えます。」
曲がるところの目印を明確に伝える（右か左かを、必ずはっきり伝える）
何番目の交差点か、信号か。
目印の建物は道の右側か左側か、曲がるのは建物の手前か先か、右折か左折かなど、間違えやすいところは繰り返して伝えます。
時間や距離を伝えることも大事です。
人によっては方角、東西南北で案内すると良いときもあります。
「市役所から〇番目の信号まで、直進2Km走ってください。信号の手前100ｍを左に曲がります。」
目的の会社のビルなどは視覚情報を伝える（何階建て、何色のビルか）
郵便局の真向かいのビル、ファミレスの隣など目で見てわかりやすい目立つ周辺の建物の情報を伝えますと分かりやすく、印象にも残ります。
「曲がる場所は右側にシンガポール国際学校があります。建物は赤色の屋根をしています。私たちの会社は通りを挟んで、反対側の左側にあります。建物は5階建てで青色をしています。看板はオレンジ色です。」
と具体的に伝えてみると良いでしょう。
